Effectively already decided that my real new body mod (and not my new lip-bell thing, which is only a replacement for my damn gum-destroying labret) will be a new upgrade to my ears. 90% sure i will be having 00ga (double-zero gauge, 9.25mm) plugs scalpelled into my lobes (as opposed to stretching them slow, you slice them fast and clean.)
The question, of course, is what to start with. Apparently there's a 50/50 chance I'll have to get new jewelery when they're done healing 'cause they expand a bit in the process. But should I start with solid plugs or tunnels?
SOLID:  TUNNELS: 
Ideally I'd rather have something more along the lines of solid obsidian glass plugs (volcanic black glass) but don't want to wait 4-8 weeks for the shipping. I'm probably going to use something organic (wood or stone) in the long run anyway.

What do you guys think? Funny? Too tactless? I don't really need another black shirt, but the price is really good (12$!). Also, it would be the most perplexing shirt ever.
